Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join the team at HMP Ford's Land Based Activities area. We are seeking an individual with experience in commercial horticulture to join our team. The responsibilities include:
* Maintaining correct field-scale soil husbandry following good horticultural practice.
* Ensuring the crop's optimum development and meeting its needs.
* Implementing biological pest control measures and chemical crop protection as necessary.
* Resolving prisoner work issues, setting appropriate tasks, and ensuring safety and productivity.
* Preparing and packaging produce with proper labelling, grading, and presentation.
* Maintaining sports fields as per plans agreed with the Farms and Gardens Manager and PE Department.
* Carrying out preventative pest control measures across the area of responsibility.

Full UK Driving Licence required.
