Job Description: Managing challenging behaviour Ability to manage behaviour and talk to parents and carers when needed. Taking an interest in and supporting the wellbeing of students both physically and mentally Plan and teach lessons with small groups of students, groups or individuals (if necessary) Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports. Key Responsibilities Collaborating effectively with the class teacher and fellow Teaching Assistants to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Providing one-on-one and group support to students with Mild to Complex LD, Autism, SEMH. Assisting with behaviour management, applying your skills to create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere. Supporting students in developing essential life skills and independence as they transition to adulthood. The Ideal Candidate/Qualifications: Will have previous experience as a teaching assistant or within a similar role. A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is desirable. Strong behaviour management skills and communication skills Ability to create a supportive learning environment with students who have diverse needs.
