Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the cleaning, handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Cleaning, picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
* Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure standards are met.
* Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory management.
* Handling materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
* Loading and unloading goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
* Performing heavy lifting as required while adhering to safety guidelines.
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Overtime is required to fulfil the requirements of the business - this does include occasional Saturday working.
Skills
* Experience in picking, packing, and quality control within a warehouse setting is advantageous.
* Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety practices.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic work environment.
* Due to location driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
* Fork lift licence would be a advantageous.
