Keen is delighted to be working in partnership with ABP to recruit a Corporate Communications Manager for the Port of Southampton | Full-time | Onsite.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, hands-on communicator in the Solent area who is looking to grow within a high-profile, dynamic environment. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders, produce impactful and innovative communications activity, and play a key role in shaping the reputation of one of the UK’s most important ports and port operator.

The Opportunity:
As Corporate Communications Manager, you will support the Regional Director and Leadership Team in enhancing the Port of Southampton’s reputation, brand awareness, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be part of and contribute to a UK wide team of professional communicators.

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering the chance to work across media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications, while contributing to wider ABP corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver a regional communications programme aligned to national strategy
* Manage media relations, including proactive PR and reactive press handling
* Create and manage content across digital and social channels
* Build strong relationships with local media, stakeholders, and partners
* Support communications for projects, campaigns, and community initiatives
* Deliver engaging internal communications to support teams and operations
* Provide support during crisis and incident communications
* Collaborate with internal teams including Commercial, Property, and Operations

About You:
We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, proactive, and eager to grow their career in communications.

You will have:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience within PR, communications, or marketing
* Creative storytelling skills
* Confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* The ability to work standalone in a dynamic environment.
* A degree in communications or a related field is desirable but not essential.

Process:
Keen is managing this recruitment process on behalf of ABP, first round interviews will take place week commencing 20th April and second round interviews week commencing 4th May.
