An experienced Delivery Manager is required to lead day-to-day delivery across two strategically aligned programmes: an Onboarding programme and an AI-enabled Workforce Automation programme.
Reporting to the Programme Lead, this role plays a pivotal part in translating early discovery, vision, and prototype work into structured, governed, and value-driven delivery across identity, access management, AI automation, and workforce-facing digital services.
This is a high-impact role operating at the intersection of digital transformation, governance, workforce systems, and secure service design within complex public sector environments.
The Role
Working closely with Workforce, Identity & Access Management, HR, digital, governance, procurement, and operational stakeholders, you will ensure initiatives move from concept into practical, adoptable solutions.
You will navigate governance frameworks, data standards, security requirements, and assurance processes while maintaining delivery pace and clarity across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
* Lead end-to-end workstreams from discovery through implementation.
* Translate roadmap priorities into clear delivery plans, milestones, and team objectives.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage dependencies across suppliers and partners.
* Maintain pace, transparency, and alignment with strategic programme outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build trusted relationships across Workforce, HR, Identity & Access Management, and operational teams.
* Facilitate workshops, reviews, and structured feedback loops.
* Keep workforce and service-user needs central to decision-making.
Governance, Commercial & Assurance
* Operate confidently within structured governance frameworks including:
* Identity standards & access controls
* AI and digital assurance requirements
* Support procurement activities, including shaping requirements, contributing to RFIs/RFPs, and supplier evaluation.
* Maintain RAID logs, reporting, and clear audit trails of decisions and risks.
* Balance innovation in AI and automation with appropriate governance controls.
Practical Delivery
* Drive agile sprint rhythms and manage scope effectively.
* Remove blockers and manage interdependencies.
* Link outputs to measurable KPIs including onboarding efficiency, workforce productivity, and automation impact.
Team Enablement
* Clarify roles, expectations, and ways of working.
* Coach teams operating in complex, multi-stakeholder public sector contexts.
* Strong stakeholder engagement across workforce, HR, and technical domains.
* Experience operating within structured governance environments.
* Exposure to procurement processes (RFI/RFP support and supplier engagement).
