Fixed Term Contract - 12 months 2 positions Grade 3 - £27,254 - £33,699 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week TEC Support Officers - Installations Exciting new opportunity for two TEC Project Support Officers - Installations to join Birmingham Council on a 12-month fixed term contract. The main responsibility of these roles will be the timely installation of technologies in a citizen’s property. This is a customer focused role with lots of daily interactions with our citizens in their own homes. The post holder will enjoy organising their own diary, scheduling their own appointments, installing communication devices, and taking time to clearly explain what is happening to each citizen on each visit. You will also support our practitioners to make the right TEC referral based on the assessed needs of the citizen. No previous technical experience is required as full training will be given. A love for people and delivering and excellent customer service and empathy to our citizens is what we are looking for! These roles will be primarily office based within the Careline Service in Holt Court, Aston (5 Holt Court, Heneage Street West, Birmingham, B7 4AX) and require a vehicle driver with a full driving licence. Cars/Vans can be provided via Careline if necessary or expenses can be claimed for the use of your own vehicle. In addition, Holt Court is in the clean air zone (CAZ) of the City and can incur charges for the use of older vehicles that must be managed by the post-holder. You will be Working directly with our Social Care Practitioners and accessing our case management system, Eclipse to review referrals and process for TEC as efficiently as possible in line with agreed processes in Careline. Booking timely appointments with the citizen to arrange your visit to install/de-install TEC from their property or equivalent. Explaining the TEC and completing all required paperwork with the citizen and/or their family as to the purpose of the TEC and what it can be used for, ensuring that they are clear on how to use the TEC in an emergency before you leave. Completing all necessary documentation and ensuring the accuracy of recording visits for TEC in both Eclipse and Care Control is paramount for citizen safety, should they need to call emergency support via their TEC. Working as part of a collaborative team with ASC and Careline to deliver the best service possible to our citizens.
