A leading independent Accountancy and Business Advisory firm, recognised for its innovative approach and strong presence across Scotland, is seeking a talented Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing team.

The Opportunity
As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing your own client portfolio, reviewing complex tax work, supporting advisory projects, and mentoring junior team members — all while enjoying the freedom to work where you work best.

Key Responsibilities
5. Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring delivery within budget and deadlines
6. Review corporation tax computations, disclosures, and tax accounting figures
7. Provide ad hoc tax advice to clients on a variety of commercial and technical matters
8. Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to deliver joined-up client solutions
9. Contribute to advisory assignments including demergers, restructures, refinancing, capital allowances, due diligence, and overseas tax issues
10. Identify opportunities to add value to clients and improve internal processes
11. Coach and support junior colleagues, helping to develop their technical and professional skills
About You
12. Proven experience in corporate tax within Practice
13. Ability to manage client relationships confidently and deliver high-quality work
14. Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and ability to explain complex matters clearly
15. Enthusiastic about process improvement and advisory work
16. Excellent organisational and communication skills
17. Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
18. ATT, CTA, or CA qualification desirable (but not essential if experience is relevant)
