If you combine this real-time data with our 40-year-old archives, elite journalists, camera operators, copywriters, the latest in AI wizardry, and a host of 'behind the scenes' support staff, you've got all the ingredients to make it a magical experience!Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & AnalysisOwn monthly P&L reporting for non-compensation expenses, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely deliverySupport monthly financial close activities and variance analysis across all expense categoriesPrepare detailed expense analysis and commentary for management reporting packagesMonitor expense trends and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities or budget risksAssist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requestsBudgeting & ForecastingSupport the annual budgeting process for non-compensation expenses, partnering with budget owners across the organizationSupport quarterly forecast updates for expense categories, ensuring alignment with business activities and strategic prioritiesDevelop and maintain budget tracking tools and documentationEnsure budget assumptions are well-supported, defensible, and properly documentedBusiness Partnering - Internal FunctionsServe as the primary FP&A partner for Finance, HR, Facilities, Legal, Integrity, and Content teamsBuild strong relationships with budget owners and department heads across internal support functionsProvide financial insights, budget tracking, and decision support to partnered functionsTranslate departmental needs into financial requirements and communicate financial constraints clearlyParticipate in business planning discussions and provide financially sound recommendationsSupport business case development and ROI analysis for internal initiativesEssential Experience:3-5+ years of progressive finance experience, with exposure to FP&A, financial reporting, or management accountingPart-Qualified (preferably CIMA) contemplatedDemonstrated experience managing expense budgets and reporting processesStrong analytical skills with ability to investigate variances and identify root causesExperience partnering with non-finance stakeholders and translating financial concepts for diverse audiencesProven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadlinesBackground in media, sports, technology, or professional services environment is advantageousDesired Qualifications: Strong financial analysis and modelling skills with advanced Excel proficiencyDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and high degree of accuracySolid understanding of P&L statements, expense accounting, and budgeting processesStrong communication skills—able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance partnersProactive and solutions-oriented mindset with ability to work independentlyCollaborative working style with ability to build effective relationships across functionsIntellectually curious with desire to understand business operations and commercial driversComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProfessional maturity and sound business judgmentWhy work at Stats Perform?We love sports, but we love diverse thinking more!We know that diversity brings creativity, so we invite people from all backgrounds to join us.
