PURPOSE OF ROLE You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and proactive coordination of procurement and supply activities. Working closely with cross-functional teams across the business, you will help maintain effective supply chain operations to support overall company objectives and performance targets. RESPONSIBILITIES Support the business with ordering of key components and products to achieve First Time In Full and On Time In Full KPIs across distribution and systems orders. Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners, providing forecasts, advanced order visibility, and clear, professional communication. Support cost-saving initiatives aligned with business targets and raw material objectives. Monitor and maintain quality performance of supplied components, ensuring discrepancies are logged in line with internal quality processes. Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to identify upcoming demand and highlight areas of limited supply. Act as a key contributor to the Supply Chain inbox, responding to internal and external queries and actively working to reduce volumes. Arrange, log, and monitor imports from suppliers outside the UK, ensuring compliance with current UK and EU regulations. Develop and support the logistics network to ensure timely and seamless delivery of key components. Complete availability checks for customer projects and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders. Chase suppliers for overdue orders to minimise risk to OTIF performance. Track and work towards internal Purchasing and Supply Chain KPIs set by senior management. Liaise with Finance to resolve supplier invoice queries. Support quarterly supplier reviews alongside the Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager. Source and onboard new suppliers in line with sustainability and quality objectives. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Experience within a manufacturing environment and knowledge of ERP systems desirable. Methodical with strong organisational skills and high attention to detail. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent. Previous experience in purchasing or supply chain roles highly beneficial.
