The Role:
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating design delivery across complex water sector projects, ensuring high-quality technical outputs while managing programme, cost, and stakeholder expectations.
Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will support both project delivery and bid activity, contributing to major UK infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams across design delivery
* Oversee and review technical deliverables including reports, drawings, and calculations
* Ensure outputs align with project scope, programme, budget, and quality standards
* Drive technical input across complex design packages and project stages
* Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams
* Support bid proposals and contribute to winning new work
* Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
* Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and CDM regulations
About You:
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
* Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) preferred
* Strong experience managing design delivery within a consultancy environment
* Proven background in the water sector (essential)
* Good understanding of design standards, NEC contracts, and regulatory requirements
* Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects
* Strong communication and stakeholder management xsngvjr skills
* Proactive, collaborative, and able to work with minimal supervision
What's on Offer:
* £50 – £67 per hour (Inside IR35)
* 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
* Hybrid working (typically 3 days office/site)
