Our Procurement Year in Industry Scheme
In the Procurement team, we are responsible for purchasing goods and services for the wider business. With major partners and industry leaders at the heart of our supplier portfolio our procurement teams offer you the opportunity to shape your career in a dynamic, high impact environment. We're excited about the future - because we're central to driving value, innovation and sustainability across the business and we're committed to being more agile, strategic and collaborative than ever before.
Over your year in industry, you'll gain hands-on experience in how we source, manage, and partner with suppliers to deliver value, drive innovation, and support the energy transition. You could be involved in anything from negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance, to driving sustainability initiatives, supporting digital transformations and delivering cost-saving projects. We will work with you to develop proficiency in project management, negotiation, contractual knowledge, commercial deals, communication and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Centrica operates a Flexible First approach which means giving colleagues the flexibility they need to carry out their role in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. While we work in a hybrid manner - from the office and at home - we believe that having face time at work is incredibly important for growth and development. You'll work flexibly throughout the programme, with your main office location being London/Berkshire.

Available to start the scheme from 16th June 2026 to 30th July 2027
Here's what's in it for you You'll be paid a salary of £24,000 (pro rata)
You'll receive a £2,000 Welcome Bonus with your first salary.
