Kinderland Day Nurseries is a family-run establishment that has been offering high-quality childcare in Croydon since 1995. At Kinderland we create an environment where children are happy, engaged, safe, and healthy. While we have two wonderful buildings and excellent resources, we firmly believe that our staff are our greatest asset and have the most significant impact on our children's lives.
Responsibilities
* Using the EYFS to help children grow into the best little people they can be.
* Developing and maintaining professional relationships with parents and carers.
* Using open dialogue and giving regular feedback to support families with little ones in our care, ensuring wellbeing for all.
* Looking after every aspect of a child’s personal care needs each day, keeping them happy, safe, stimulated, and making learning fun.
* Creating and maintaining an innovative learning space where children can explore and learn every day, managing quality resources and both outdoor and indoor spaces.
* Promoting a healthy lifestyle for all children by encouraging and supporting them at meal and snack times and ensuring time for active play.
Qualifications and experience
To be considered for the Early Years Practitioner role you must have a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and good knowledge of the EYFS. Newly qualified practitioners and those seeking advancement in childcare will also be considered.

Roles and hours
We have both full-time and part-time roles available. Our nursery is situated in Central Croydon, with convenient transport links to East Croydon, South Croydon, and West Croydon stations. Nearest tram stops include George Street, Wellesley Road, and East Croydon; there are also many bus routes nearby.
Safeguarding and compliance
Safeguarding: We have named persons within the nursery who take lead responsibility for safeguarding and coordinate child protection and welfare issues (Designated Safeguarding Leads). There is always at least one designated person on duty during opening hours.
All applicants should be aware that a huge part of the role is ensuring children are continuously safeguarded from harm. Any job offers will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, thorough referencing, an induction program, and a 3-month probation period. All successful candidates will receive training upon starting their role.
Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2013 and 2020: certain convictions and cautions are considered protected and do not need to be disclosed to employers. Guidance about disclosure can be found on the Ministry of Justice website. Employment is dependent upon obtaining a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Certificate from the DBS.
