Our control panels are featured in iconic locations such as The Shard, Harrods, Royal Albert Hall, V&A and the Bank of England. We partner with major retailers and multibillion-dollar corporations to install cutting-edge BMS solutions in data centres and other properties worldwide. We are seeking a skilled BMS Panel Wirer to join our team, responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing BMS control panels. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical panel wiring and a strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics accurately.
This role is critical in ensuring our control panels are assembled to the highest standards, supporting the reliable operation of BMS in various commercial and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Panel Wiring: Assemble and wire BMS control panels according to wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Quality Control: Inspect and test completed panels to ensure they meet quality standards and client requirements.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and rectify wiring issues, ensuring all panels function correctly before installation.
* Component Installation: Install and connect components such as relays, PLCs, terminal blocks, and fuses within the control panel.
* Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layouts to ensure accurate and efficient wiring.
* Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company quality protocols during the wiring process.
* Documentation: Complete relevant documentation for each panel, including wiring schedules, test results, and quality checks.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers and other team members to resolve wiring or design challenges and improve production efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience: Proven experience in panel wiring, preferably in BMS, HVAC, or industrial control panels.
* Technical Skills:
* Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
* Strong understanding of electrical components and panel assembly processes.
* Proficient with hand and power tools used for wiring and panel assembly.
* Certification: Electrical or engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation) is preferred.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to work precisely and accurately with a high standard of workmanship.
* Communication: Good communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
