We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Senior Procurement Category Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, dependant on notice. The salary on offer is £51,000 - £58,000.
The ideal candidate will have an MCIPS qualification and proven knowledge and experience of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Driving and maintaining improvement initiatives to support the procurement and supply chain department
* Maintaining compliance with PCR2015 and PA23 regulations throughout procurement processes
* Analysing and monitoring market trends to make informed procurement decisions
* Designing and implementing category strategies in line with organisational goals
* Securing optimal terms and conditions by leading supplier negotiations
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and opportunities
* Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and performance standards are met
* Providing support and guidance on procurement policies and procedures
Experience required:
* MCIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience
* Knowledge and experience of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations
* Strong category management experience working within the public sector
* Proven supplier management and negotiation skills
* Ability to develop and deliver strategic procurement plans
* Commitment to compliance and delivering value in procurement activities
* Ability to analyse market trends and develop improvements
