This is a Fixed Term contract for 2 years. Strategic Housing at Rochdale Council has been undertaking a customer-focussed transformation programme, which has included the creation of two new service areas: ‘People ’ and ‘ Property ’. Both services work together to deliver housing solutions across the Borough, including through our new customer delivery office in Rochdale town centre. We require experienced housing professionals who are passionate about the real-life difference that quality housing makes in our community and who will want to be integral to that delivery. We have an exciting vacancy for a Housing Supply Officer (Engagement) (2-year fixed term) to help contribute towards our vision for excellent strategic housing within the Borough. We require an individual who is passionate about the real-life difference that quality housing makes in our community, and you will want to be a pro-active part of our service achieving that aim. You will ideally be experienced in dealing with customer engagement, property retrofit and government energy schemes/eco-projects and achieving target-led results. You will be working with property owners, landlords and tenants across the Borough to engage them in the RBC/GM Warm Homes: Local Grant Programme (area based). You will be out in the community engaging potential grant recipients on their doorsteps and setting up and attending local events, whilst liaising with GMCA and third-sector partners. You will relish the challenge of engaging with property owners, colleagues, customers and third sector partners. You will be proactive and able to engage fluently and persuasively with property owners face-to-face and across all communication platforms. You will be capable of prioritising tasks, delivering on set timetables and ensuring timely completion of project commitments. You will be capable of maintaining case files, spreadsheets and engaging with relevant parties both in person and via office-based means. You will work to support the Housing Team Lead (Eco-Matters) and you will relish independently delivering casework as well as working together as part of a small team to deliver on key Council priorities. You should have a strong background relating to the person specification and able to demonstrate relevant experience. You will have an ability to develop, manage and maintain a multi-priority workload, progressing various ideas and plans concurrently to achieve effective delivery.
