Family Care are a family-owned social care provider. We have been providing therapeutically informed care and education for children and young people since 1988. Caring for someone else's child in your own home takes a special kind of person. But no matter what their skills and experience, all our Foster Carers rely on support and guidance from our Supervising Social Workers, Support Workers and Managers.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster carers and the young people in their care. Working alongside social workers and other professionals, you'll provide practical and emotional support to ensure stability, development, and wellbeing for all involved. This position is based from our Dunstan office and covers the midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide regular one-on-one support to foster carers and children
* Assist with the placement process and ongoing placement stability
* Support carers in managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive outcomes
* Help coordinate training, support groups, and respite care where needed
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children, young people, or families in a support capacity
* Level 3 in Children and Young People is desirable but not essential
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A proactive, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach
* Ability to work flexibly over 7 days, 37.5 hours per week - occasional evenings/weekends
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
* Enhanced DBS compliance
