Job summary
* This role will be an integral part of the wider Finance Team, supporting the delivery and development of improved performance across organisation.
* The post holder will support the overall management and performance of the operational finance team ensuring financial information is processed in accordance with procedures. This includes monthly reporting processes, statutory accounts, treasury support, systems, controls and charitable funds.

Main duties of the job
A team member supporting the Management Accounting team in delivering financial management services to two or more CareGroups/corporate services. Inputs amendments to budget reports utilising knowledge of the Advanced financial system. Analysis of variations in expenditure on budget reports by investigating queries and discrepancies raised by managers and discussing responses and solutions with individual members of staff. Takes actions on a range of monthly adjustments and amendments required for the production of budget reports and to resolve managers\' queries.

* NVQ Level 3, Association of Accounting Technicians Intermediate Level or equivalent relevant experience
* Evidence of CPD

* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Plan and organise straightforward tasks, some ongoing
* Plan own workload to ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial timetables are met
Desirable Essential
* Skills developed in an NHS context
* Experience of inputting financial data into computer databases and spreadsheets, where speed and accuracy are necessary
* Intermediate Excel
Knowledge Essential
* Basic understanding of accounting principles
* Basic understanding of legislation as it affects financial/technical accounting

* Experience of accounting procedures
* Relevant experience within an office environment
