Principal Planning Officer needed in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, £29.22ph PAYE - Reference: OR7363 To assist in, and provide professional input to the delivery of the Development Management Service within the policy framework for the development of land within Pembrokeshire, to ensure development is appropriate to its location as well as ensuring that the natural, built and historic environment is conserved. Undertake the processing of a wide range of planning applications, particularly large scale proposals and all related applications and notifications, along with applications relating to specialist policy areas. Prepare reports for committee on non-delegated applications and reports for the Interim Head of Planning on delegated applications. Exercise the delegated power to determine designated categories of applications and other specified delegated functions, as specified by the Chief Planning Officer / Director of Community Services. Provide statutory and non-statutory pre-planning advice through a fee paying advice service, by assessing development proposals against the relevant planning policies and any other material considerations. Advise and assist case officers in the department to develop knowledge and share expertise. This is a full time role on a temporary basis.
