Data Analyst - Water Asset Management
The RPS Water Consultancy business is currently looking to appoint a Data Analyst. Our Data Analysts work within our team to provide specific data management support on water and/or wastewater projects to drive increased intelligence for internal and/or external benefit, enhance data-driven insights and processes. This will require the ability to increase situational awareness for our clients, building actionable insights to support their strategic objectives.
About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This industry offers challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork to meet our clients’ needs.

About You:
As a key member of the Water Consultancy, your role as Data Analyst is crucial for delivering successful projects for our Water Industry clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on various capital delivery projects.

Your Responsibilities:
* Supporting water and wastewater asset management projects, including Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans, Leakage Analytics, and other technical analyses. You will be responsible for project delivery.
* Supporting senior team members in project execution, with opportunities for leadership roles to assist the Team Leader/Technical Manager.
* Working closely with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within quality expectations, and profitably.
* Developing opportunities through client engagement.
* Providing advice and support to less experienced colleagues to foster their development.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience with GIS packages such as ARC GIS, QGIS, MapInfo.
* Proficiency in handling large datasets using programming skills, data manipulation, and visualization.
* Knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, FME, and Ruby Script for integration and enhancement of activities.
* Experience with discipline-specific data analysis packages like InfoWorks or InfoAsset, especially in water.
* Understanding of the UK water industry and asset management.
* Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Relevant experience in data management or modeling, from a consultancy, water company, or regulator.
* Proficiency in MS 365 applications, with advanced Excel and Visual Basic skills.
Qualifications:
* Degree in a relevant technical subject; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
* Progression towards Chartership/Incorporated Member status with CIWEM, IAM, or similar, or structured training towards it.
* Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
