We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Care at Home and Nursing Home teams. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of care needs in their own homes or within residential care settings. You will play a key part in improving the quality of life for service users, promoting independence, dignity, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Support clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Assist with safe mobility and manual handling, including using equipment and supporting transfers
* Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required
* Administer medication safely and monitor for any changes in health or well-being
* Provide companionship and emotional support, building positive and trusting relationships
* Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs
* Support individuals with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's
* Maintain accurate records and report concerns to senior staff promptly
* Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 1 year of UK-based care experience (essential)
* Experience in care at home or residential/nursing home settings
* Confidence in handling complex care needs, including dementia and mobility support
* Knowledge of medication administration and care planning
* Understanding of safeguarding and infection control practices
* Strong communication skills and a caring, respectful attitude
* Valid UK driving licence (preferred, but not essential)
