Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with Autism?
TeacherActive is working with a leading specialist SEN school in South Liverpool to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to start in September.
The school is an outstanding specialist setting that provides education for students aged 3 19 with Autism and associated complex needs. The school offers a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment where pupils are supported through a highly personalised curriculum. The dedicated team promotes positive relationships, emotional well-being, and independence.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students with Autism in 1:1 or small group settings
* Work alongside teachers and specialists to deliver tailored learning plans
* Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation
* Use communication strategies such as PECs, Makaton, or visual aids (desirable)
* Be a consistent, calm, and reassuring presence in the classroom
Requirements
* Experience working with Autism is essential
* Background in education, care, or support roles
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Positive, patient, and proactive approach
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
