Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is recruiting a Residential Night Care Worker to join the Children’s Services Residential Sector. We are seeking a kind, caring and compassionate individual who is ambitious for children in our care, hardworking and innovative, with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people in Stockton-on-Tees.
As a Night Care Worker, you will engage effectively with young people and their families to ensure care needs are met at night. The care at night may be delivered in the family home, the residential home, or other community venues. This is a rewarding role where you will be a positive role model for our children and young people.

What we offer and career development
We provide a structured training program and support to gain the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 18 months of appointment. If you wish to develop your career further, we can consider supporting you through Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care.
Qualifications and requirements
* A recognised Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a willingness to work towards within 18 months of appointment
* A positive attitude and experience of working with children and young people
* Ability to work over a 7-day shift rota including weekends
* Enhanced DBS clearance (overseas police clearance may be required for those who have lived or worked outside the UK)
* A full driving licence valid to drive in the UK
Role details
Part-time role of 36 hours per week. The salary is £28,741 – £30,183.
