Industrial Manufacturing Auditor at European Foundation for Business Qualification (EFBQ)
Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an Industrial Engineering Auditor to join the ISP Procurement team, supporting a range of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical suppliers. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a newly formed, dynamic quality team. You will be responsible for providing Quality Assurance support to the supply chain, ensuring production hardware meets customer requirements.
Location: Bolton facility. Hybrid: 1-2 days per week onsite. The site is described as a leading North West manufacturing facility with on-site amenities and training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure effective management of supplier non-conformances across manufacturing teams, including defect investigations.
* Lead root cause analysis of supplier product issues using industry-recognised problem-solving methodologies.
* Validate supplier corrective actions, ideally on-site, to prevent recurrence and ensure delivery quality.
* Provide data analysis and summary reports on non-conformances to engineering, senior management, and customer reviews.
* Identify quality risks that may impact project milestones or deliverables and propose mitigation strategies.
* Participate in the Project Quality network to report and share quality assurance status updates.
* Support Manufacturing Engineering (ME) development projects, ensuring compliance with Industrial Validation milestones.
* Conduct quality audits and assessments in line with surveillance plans and supplier contractual requirements.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance on-time and on-quality product delivery throughout the lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Holds a minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering, ideally within Mechanical or Electronic disciplines.
* Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Product Assurance, with a strong understanding of engineering environments.
* Proficient in applying quality improvement methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and DMAIC.
* Solid knowledge of the product development lifecycle, particularly within early-stage engineering and validation.
* Skilled in data analysis and reporting, with hands-on experience using Excel, SAP QM, and document management systems.
* Proactive in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
