We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experiencedHousing Support Worker to join our team to provide a housing-related support service for people aged 16 and over in the Rhondda area.
This is a permanent role, working 23 hours per week across 3 days, no weekends or bank holidays.
The role will be located across the Rhondda area, however there may be occasions when cover is required in the Cynon area.
What You'll Do
This role will be key in providing a personalised informed service in accordance with our service users needs. You will be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy by assisting them with daily living skills to remain as independent as possible.
What You'll Need
You will need a full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You will have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.
A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
