GAC UK is looking for an Accounts Assistant based in Grangemouth. Could it be you?
Key Responsibilities
You will support the finance function across a range of core accounting and administrative duties, including:
* Managing the department mailbox and responding to queries from internal and external parties
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements
* Posting journals and supporting ledger reviews
* Calculating and posting monthly accruals and prepayments
* Preparing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
* Supporting the UK statutory reporting process
* Analysing and posting credit card and cash expenses
* Setting up bank payments for authorisation
* Contributing to ad‑hoc project work and continuous improvement initiatives
Business Analysis
* Providing analytical insights to support business decision‑making and identify areas for improvement
* Producing and presenting regular management information reports
* Supporting budget tracking and performance analysis
Job Requirements
* Proven ability to work to tight deadlines with strong time‑management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong competency in Excel, Word and Outlook
* Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
* Knowledge and experience of journal posting (including debits and credits)
* Confidence communicating with non‑finance colleagues across the business
