Youth Mentor (Behaviour Mentor) – SEMH School – Bromley
ASAP Start.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 behavioural, emotional, and pastoral support, including 1:1 interventions, small group work, and in-class assistance.
* Support students outside of the classroom when required.
* Work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, implementing strong behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent pastoral support.
Qualifications & Skills
* At least one year's experience working with young people, preferably in a SEMH or specialist setting.
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
* Team Teach or Physical Intervention training (desirable).
* Calm, patient, empathetic approach with ability to build trusting relationships.
