Head Chef
Location: Richmond Villages Cheltenham, Hatherley Lane, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL51 6PN
Salary range: from £34,126 per annum - Paid breaks and excellent Bupa benefits
Welcome Bonus: £1,000*
Should you be successfully hired into this role, we are pleased to offer you a one-off Starter Bonus of £1000 as a thank you for joining Bupa Care Services. The bonus will be paid after four weeks’ service, subject to tax and NI deductions. Ts & Cs apply.
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Full time, 40 hours per week across 5 days, shifts between 07:00-19:30, including some weekends

As the Head Chef at Richmond Village, you will oversee our catering department, ensuring a premium service across our restaurant, care home, serviced suites, apartments, spa meals, and hosted events.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
* Providing high-quality, nourishing meals to residents across the Village, including the care home, serviced suites, restaurant, spa, and events.
* Having multi-site/multi-outlet experience (advantageous)
* Leading and advising kitchen staff on menus and food preparation
* Managing food supplies, including budgeting, ordering, storage, and waste disposal
* Ensuring a welcoming, safe, and compliant dining environment
* Collaborating with other departments and event organizers for special occasions
* Maintaining high standards of food and service within budget constraints
Key Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience managing diverse kitchen teams, with a focus on dietary needs. Leadership skills to inspire and guide staff, expertise in sophisticated cooking, health and safety protocols, preferably backed by NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. A structured, creative work ethic to ensure exceptional dining experiences.
