Quantity Surveyor required for leading civil engineering projects in the water sector.
Our client is a well-established contractor with an excellent reputation in delivering major civil engineering schemes across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and support the delivery of a key water infrastructure project based in Swindon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS with strong civils and water sector experience to join a business that offers long-term career development, hybrid working, and the chance to play a vital role in major infrastructure schemes.
Experience Required:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering projects (ideally within the water/utilities sector)
2. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4)
3. Background with either a main contractor or subcontractor
4. Excellent analytical, commercial and negotiation skills
5. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
6. Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership (desirable)
Duties include:
7. Commercial management of a major water infrastructure project
8. Preparing and managing cost plans, forecasts and reports
9. Administering and managing NEC contracts
10. Liaising with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance and value for money
11. Assessing subcontractor applications, variations and payments
12. Supporting procurement strategies and risk management for the project delivery team
Package & Benefits:
13. Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience
