Robert Half are really pleased to be partnering with a long-standing client to support in the recruitment of an Interim Group Financial Controller for a 12-month contract.
The role is covering a period of leave for the current group financial controller but will allow opportunity to streamline processes and make your stamp on finance.
* Job title: Interim Group Financial Controller
* Duration: 12-month (fixed term contract)
* Start date: ASAP
* Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
* Hybrid: Flexible depending on experience
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
* Oversee preparation of accurate, timely consolidated management accounts for all group entities.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
* Manage external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
* Prepare monthly management reports, manage group cash flow and debt, and oversee payroll and payment runs.
* Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and accounting processes across the group.
* Ensure full regulatory and statutory compliance in all financial reporting.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard group assets and operations.
* Lead and develop the finance function (including one part-time team member).
* Advise leadership on strategic financial planning, performance improvement, and cost efficiency.
* Drive process enhancements and technology adoption to improve financial operations.
Qualifications & experience:
* Qualified (Desired) (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
* Working within a group function (desired)
* Candidates must have a deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the relevant regulatory standards.
