About the Role
Are you passionate about working with local people to drive change at a neighbourhood level and want to work on a high‑profile community‑focused regeneration programme?
We’re looking for an experienced and community focused engagement officer to help deliver the Cherrywood Pride in Place Programme.
Working closely with the Pride in Place Programme Manager, you will engage with residents, schools, voluntary and community groups, and partner organisations and encourage people to play an active role in shaping and improving their local area. This will include:
* Planning and delivering community engagement events and activities
* Building strong relationships with community groups and local stakeholders
* Coordinating Pride in Place campaigns, events, and volunteering initiatives
* Encouraging resident participation in local decision‑making and community activities
* Identifying opportunities for external funding and partnership working
* Acting as a visible and approachable representative of the Council within communities
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about community engagement and working with local communities.
You will have:
* Experience in community engagement, regeneration, neighbourhood management, or a related field
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* The ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders
* Strong organisational and project coordination abilities
* Experience delivering community events or campaigns
* Confidence using digital communication and social media platforms
