Flynn Canada Ltd is hiring a Glazing Service Superintendent! This position will be based out of our Halifax location, reporting to the Service Manager.
The Service Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day service operations, supporting both office and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
A Day in the Life:
* Review and document change orders, service requests, and work orders.
* Coordinate with the Service Manager on project progress, service priorities and final project details.
* Dispatch technicians with clear job instructions and required documentation.
* Monitor job performance, material usage, and completion timelines.
* Provide regular updates to clients and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Support field crews by overseeing and reviewing repairs, inspections, and maintenance work.
* Resolve on-site issues and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
* Manage service inventory, equipment, and fleet compliance.
* Train, coach, and evaluate technicians and identify future leaders.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and training needs.
* Maintain on-call status for emergency service response.
Requirements
* 1-3 years’ experience in a construction environment; Service Roofing experience is considered an asset.
* Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Form and maintain customer relations, in person, through email, and over the phone.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, stay organized, and perform in a deadline-oriented environment.
* Reliable and strong problem-solving skills.
* Work independently as well as in a team-based environment.
* Work in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail.
