North Yorkshire Council is offering a Group Manager role to lead and expand its Children and Young People’s service. The position requires a confident, autonomous leader who can drive forward practice, influence stakeholders, partners and colleagues, and shape services across the county.
Responsibilities and Requirements
As Group Manager you will demonstrate real leadership in a challenging and evolving sector by shaping and driving practice across the county and localities. You will be responsible for managing significant financial resources, ensuring the service delivers within nationally defined regulations and standards, and maintaining a sound knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework. The role also demands a good understanding of the diverse needs of children and their families. The ideal candidate is an innovative social work professional with strategic managerial experience, who is driven, astute, inspirational, and an excellent communicator.
