Overview
The governors of St Mary's Catholic Primary School seek to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, dynamic and creative teacher to join our dedicated and innovative team within a very happy, caring and inclusive school community. A practising Catholic teacher is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
* Be an effective and innovative teacher with experience of working in Key Stage 2
* Have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Curriculum for Wales and its underpinning pedagogy, with a clear commitment to learner-centred, purpose-driven and progression-focused teaching approaches
* Understand and support the needs of Year 3 learners, including smooth transition from Foundation Phase and continuing to develop pupil independence
* Demonstrate high expectations of all learners
* Actively promote the school's ethos of inclusion and celebrate the diverse nature of our school
* Demonstrate very good communication skills with children, staff, parents and other professionals
* Be very competent in the use and development of digital technology
* Be an excellent team player
* Be confident in the delivery of the Welsh curriculum and promote bilingualism
