Our client, part of a Global Group, is responsible for sales in the UK and Ireland. The business involves the sale and distribution of specialist coatings, operating from sites in Bicester (Oxfordshire) and Magherafelt (Northern Ireland). Activities include handling, processing, tinting, storage, and shipment of mainly water-based coatings.

The main administration centre for the UK and Ireland is in Bicester, supporting customer support, production, warehouse, logistics, sales, administration, and finance functions.


The Role

The Customer Service Coordinator focuses on customer account management, ensuring a responsive and professional customer experience, including finance administrative duties, with all critical tasks completed accurately and timely.


Key Responsibilities


Customer Service

* Ensure accurate processing of customer orders to support operations.
* Build strong customer relationships through understanding needs and offering tailored product recommendations.
* Share relevant customer/order information with internal teams for smooth operations.
* Provide administrative support to supervisors and maintain statutory records.


Credit Control

* Process invoices and customer receipts accurately and promptly.
* Resolve invoice/payment queries and approve credit notes.
* Monitor outstanding accounts, follow up on overdue accounts, and review credit ratings and limits regularly.


Skills and Qualifications (Essential)

* Strong communication skills.
* Polite manner, good telephone support skills, and knowledge of accounting principles is advantageous.
* Self-motivated, conscientious, and deadline-oriented.
* High accuracy in data entry and efficiency under pressure.
* Good understanding of IT systems, CRM/ERP, and basic software applications.


Desired Skills

* Proficiency in M365, CRM/ERP, and SAP Concur.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Experience in finance or B2B customer service environments.
* Professional qualifications (e.g., AAT) are a plus.
