Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Developmental Occupational Therapist to join our Community Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway, working with individuals with complex needs who are involved in the Criminal Justice System. This post is open to newly qualified Occupational Therapists at Band 5 and experienced Occupational Therapists at Band 6.
This developmental role is designed to support Band 5 Occupational Therapists to progress towards Band 6 competency through structured supervision, specialist training, and supported professional development within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with people with complex emotional and interpersonal difficulties, particularly those involved in offending behaviour and the Criminal Justice System. This specialist role offers the opportunity to use occupational therapy approaches to assess occupational needs and support engagement, emotional regulation, meaningful activity, social inclusion and positive life change within a trauma‑informed and psychologically informed service.
