Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Buyer to lead sourcing and procurement activities for UK & EU markets. This role goes beyond traditional buying - it plays a key part in product development, supplier innovation, and cross-functional leadership, ensuring we bring competitive, high-quality products to market efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
•\tLead end-to-end procurement for assigned categories, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
•\tPartner closely with Product Development, Marketing, and Technical teams to bring new products from concept to launch
•\tIdentify market trends, customer needs, and innovation opportunities within the health and wellness sector
•\tDrive supplier collaboration to support new product development (NPD), reformulations, and cost improvements
•\tManage and mentor NPD teams or cross-functional project teams where applicable
•\tOwn pricing strategies, margin optimisation, and cost-saving initiatives
•\tEnsure compliance with UK/EU regulations, quality standards, and internal policies
•\tMonitor supplier performance and mitigate supply chain risks
•\tWork closely with Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations teams to ensure continuity of supply, effective inventory management, and successful product launches
Key Skills & Experience:
•\tProven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer, ideally within FMCG, supplements, or health products
•\tStrong background in supplier negotiation and strategic sourcing
•\tDemonstrated experience working with or leading product development / NPD projects
•\tAbility to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
•\tCommercially astute with strong analytical and decision-making skills
•\tExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills
•\tExperience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
•\tKnowledge of UK/EU regulatory requirements in supplements or consumer goods (desirable)
Leadership & Product Development Capabilities:
•\tExperience guiding products from concept through formulation, sourcing, and launch
•\tAbility to align technical, commercial, and customer perspectives
•\tStrong project management skills with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
•\tComfortable acting as a bridge between suppliers, internal teams, and innovation strategy
