TT Electronics’ Bedlington facility north of Newcastle upon Tyne is the home of two TT Electronics divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom power solutions for safety-critical applications in harsh environments. The team in Bedlington specialises in microcircuit production for the aerospace and defence industries. We’re currently recruiting for a Production Manager (Micro), site based 5 days per week, in Bedlington to join our Operations team. In this role you will demonstrate a passion for Operational Excellence which includes an attention to detail that will enable us to succeed through the design, implementation and embedding of processes, procedures and behaviour development that adds value to our Customers. Key Responsibilities Lead, develop, and motivate our manufacturing approach and people, machinery budgets and operational performance to ensure consistent delivery Act as an instrumental figure in the creation and delivery of KPIs and technological practices and processes that deliver competitive advantage through positive engagement strategies Manage and control financial costs in line with budgets. Core Requirements Previous and relevant Manufacturing, Production, Operational or Leadership experience Evidence of delivering effective operational team management An understanding of operational target and budget setting and the development of plans A clear understanding of how a manufacturing process should be configured to ensure stable and effective outputs Demonstrated ability to implement lean improvements in a structured way to continually improve the manufacturing performance Ability to work effectively within a dynamic environment Ability to identify and implement new technologies to add value to the existing processes Experience of delivering significant budgets, KPIs and shifts Degree/ HND or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline Desirable Skills and Experience Previous experience of leading in electronics manufacturing Experience in Lean Sigma to Black Belt Understanding & experience of Automotive, Aerospace & Medical standards Experience in using SAP What We Offer You: From this role you will have the opportunity to develop the experience needed to explore and progress to more senior leadership roles within TT Electronics Bedlington, or the wider group, if this is in your own career plan.
