Supply SEN Teaching Assistants – Wakefield
Location: Wakefield and surrounding areas
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Flexible, Supply / Day-to-day cover
We are currently recruiting experienced Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated individuals looking for flexible work while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
The Role
As a Supply SEN TA, you will:
- Provide classroom and 1:1 support to pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs)
- Assist teachers with delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Adapt to different school settings with confidence and professionalism
- Work on a flexible, day-to-day basis across multiple schools
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Have previous experience working with SEN, either in an education setting or as a support worker
- Be adaptable, reliable, and confident working in different environments
- Have strong behaviour management skills
- Be comfortable travelling across the Wakefield area to cover supply bookings
- Be available for immediate start
