General Cover Teacher (Stockport)

About the Role:
Are you an experienced teacher seeking flexibility but eager to make a significant impact on students’ learning? We are looking for a General Cover Teacher to support a variety of secondary schools in Stockport starting in September 2025. This position will involve stepping in to deliver lessons across multiple subjects, maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lesson Delivery: Teach pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects (including English, Maths, and Science), ensuring all lesson objectives are met.
* Classroom Management: Ensure that classrooms remain productive and orderly, managing student behaviour effectively.
* Student Engagement: Encourage students to actively participate and engage with the lesson material.
* Assessment and Feedback: Monitor student progress, giving constructive feedback to students, and report back to the school on any concerns or achievements.
* Adaptability: Quickly adjust to different teaching environments and work effectively with a variety of teaching staff.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience in secondary education with the ability to teach across different subjects.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of different abilities.
* A flexible, adaptable approach and a positive, proactive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
