* Be part of an inclusive, diverse team that prioritises collaboration, open dialogue, and the wellbeing of its people through agile working solutions and comprehensive support systems.
* Access tailored career development pathways, ongoing professional learning opportunities, and mentoring from experienced leaders dedicated to nurturing your growth and success.

What you’ll do:

As a Conflicts Lawyer within the Business Acceptance team based in London, you will be immersed in a stimulating environment where your expertise will directly shape how new business is accepted across multiple jurisdictions. Your day-to-day activities will involve providing nuanced advice on regulatory frameworks governing conflicts of interest, confidential information handling, reputational risks, and client engagement terms. You will collaborate closely with partners, fee earners, sector leaders, and business teams worldwide-navigating complex transactions under time pressure while ensuring compliance with professional standards. Your ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels will be essential as you help develop robust policies that safeguard the firm's reputation. In addition to advising on individual matters, you will play an integral role in designing training programmes that keep colleagues informed about evolving regulations. By mentoring junior team members and supporting strategic projects within Legal & Risk, you will contribute meaningfully to fostering a culture of shared responsibility for risk management throughout the organisation.

* Advise partners and senior management globally on conflicts of interest, reputational issues, and regulatory requirements across all practice groups on a daily basis.
* Apply relevant laws and internal policies to complex business acceptance matters while balancing commercial considerations in collaboration with lawyers and leadership teams.
* Provide expert knowledge on conflicts rules to colleagues within the Legal & Risk function as well as other lawyers throughout the firm's network.
* Review and advise on contracts related to client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, secondment agreements, and other key documentation.
* Contribute actively to the creation and implementation of global policies regarding conflicts of interest, information barriers, client care standards, and best practices for engagement letters.
* Act as the primary contact for sector leaders on business acceptance issues within their sectors while developing deep market knowledge to proactively manage risk.
* Support the Partner and Chief of Conflicts & Risk Officer along with the Head of Conflicts Management in leading the Business Acceptance team by mentoring junior members and supporting team development.
* Identify training needs across the firm's legal teams; design and deliver training sessions on new regulatory developments and internal policy updates both locally and globally.
* Participate in priority Legal & Risk projects aimed at raising awareness around business acceptance topics through regular training initiatives and communications plans.
* Promote a global risk management culture by engaging stakeholders at all levels in discussions about best practices, policy adoption, and continuous improvement.

What you bring:

To excel as a Conflicts Lawyer in this prominent international setting, your background should reflect substantial experience advising on complex legal matters within major law firms. Experience mentoring junior professionals or contributing to team development initiatives will further distinguish your candidacy. Above all else, your dedication to promoting inclusivity-by valuing every perspective-will make you an invaluable asset within this collaborative environment.

* Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least two years' post‑qualification experience gained at a large or leading international law firm.
* Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on legal documents for clients across various sectors.
