Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) covering pain clinics and theatres at designated sites.
* Provide independent clinical care of patients, supporting delivery of a high‑quality MDT pain service that meets local referral‑to‑treatment targets and waiting‑time goals.
* Cover joint MDT clinics with a psychologist, as per service requirements, and work flexibly to accommodate clinic and theatre demands.
* Participate in departmental and trust teaching, clinical governance and audit activities.
* Assist the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust in achieving its commitments to the National Plan for modernisation of the NHS, including the 18‑week patient pathway.
Qualifications
* FRCS or equivalent qualification.
* Fully registered with the GMC.
* On the Specialist Register / Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
Job Plan
* Part‑time appointment with 8 programmed activities (PAs).
* Appointment term: fixed term 12 months, subject to review.
