About the role
Primary duties
1. Carry out service and repairs on a wide range of Draeger Breathing Apparatus products and accessories.
2. Repair and testing of reducer and valve assemblies.
3. Repair and testing of all products within the Draeger Escape range.
4. Carry out cylinder recharging.
5. Repair and testing of Draeger Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment.
6. Repair, testing, and commissioning of telemetry systems.
7. Use automated test equipment for fault finding and acceptance testing.
8. Complete all technical documentation related to repairs.
9. Complete product test certificates.
10. Comply with internal quality standards.
11. Prepare technical repair reports as required by customers.
12. Customer contact is expected.
13. Support other repair tasks as needed.
14. Assist Field Service Engineers when required.
15. Support activities in other areas of the Service Department as needed.

Team Environment
Working in the Breathing Apparatus (BA) repairs workshop alongside four technicians, within a team of 24 people.
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
* Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, or proven work experience.
Related Experience
* Experience in service and repair of mechanical devices is desirable.
* Some electronics knowledge is an advantage.
* Good communication skills (written and verbal).
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
* Customer-focused with a positive attitude towards problem-solving.
* Ability to communicate clearly with customers.
* Confidence and initiative.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
