Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Kettering
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday during term time.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping to ensure that all learners are able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects
* Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who require additional support
* Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
* Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required
* Helping maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
* Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting (desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, supportive and adaptable approach to working with students
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* A passion for supporting young people in their learning and development
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
* Right to work in the UK
* Ability to provide references covering the last two years
