Your tasks will include:
* Planning diverse menus that cater to the nutritional needs of young children.
* Preparing and cooking meals for up to 50 children daily, ensuring meals are wholesome and appetizing.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations.
* Collaborating with nursery staff to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies.
* Engaging children in cooking activities to enhance their understanding and enjoyment of food.
* Managing kitchen supplies, including food ordering and inventory control.
We are seeking someone with:
* At least 2 years of experience in a cooking role, preferably in a nursery or care setting.
* Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
* Creativity and passion for preparing nourishing meals for children.
* Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage kitchen operations.
* A valid Food Hygiene certificate and the ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
