Health and Safety Manager - Dartford Mon to Fri - 8:00am - 5:00pm
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of health and safety across our operations in the Facilities Management (FM) sector. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with ISO 45001, driving H&S performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety across the organisation.
What We're Looking For
* Able to manage and influence engineers and other stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Full UK Driving Licence - Required for site visits
* Experience with ISO 45001 - Highly Desirable
The role
* Health & Safety Management
* Oversee and maintain compliance with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)
* Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes
* Develop, review, and implement H&S policies, procedures, and objectives
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and liaise with regulatory authorities
* Prepare for and lead internal/external audits and HSEQ meetings
* Track non-conformities and ensure timely resolutions
* Report on H&S performance to senior leadership
* Manage emergency procedures including evacuation and first aid protocols
* Accreditations & Compliance
* Lead the annual renewal and management of company accreditations
* Maintain accreditation documentation and identify opportunities for new certifications
* Administrative & Operational Support
* Update internal documentation and systems
* Sign off on purchase invoices and assist with procurement as needed
* Provide coverage during annual leave periods for team members
* Assist the operations department with cross-functional H&S support
* Prepare monthly updates and participate in management reviews
