Responsibilities
* Work with internal stakeholders to deliver the best product solution for the client with a sound credit structure;
* Underwrite, set up, and document new credit facilities in a timely fashion and liaise with other teams across the firm to ensure timely delivery;
* Generate and review credit proposals, ensure adherence to credit policies, accurate borrower analysis and a completeness of credit risk assessment. Maintain the highest standards of quality and accuracy;
* Provide ongoing portfolio maintenance. Proactively resolve exceptions, including under-margin situations, past due principal/interest payments and transactional issues.
* Review other transactions that have an element of credit risk, such as derivative trades, to ensure trading activity adheres to the firm’s policies and risk appetite.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree / professional qualification or relevant business experience in the financial industry;
* English fluency essential;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Good organizational skills and ability to drive change;
* Ability to work well in an integrated team environment; dedicated team player.
Preferred qualifications
* Understanding or experience with credit risk and/or lending analysis, including lending values, credit regulations, and legal documentation;
* Understanding of financial markets and financial instruments, including derivatives;
* Fluency in Italian or French
* Experience in using VBA / Alteryx / Signavio / Python and/or Tableau
