Are you an organised Accounts Assistant who loves working with numbers and keeping things running smoothly? We’re working with a well-known, family-run business in Southampton. If you enjoy variety, getting stuck into the detail, and being part of a supportive finance team, this could be a great next step for you. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers a nice mix of finance and admin work, perfect for someone with some accounting experience who likes a busy, hands-on role and a friendly team around them. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for: Processing invoices and credit notes Completing supplier statement reconciliations Supporting the preparation and monitoring of P&L reports Assisting with general accounting and administrative tasks Providing customer support and liaising with internal departments Supporting wider finance team projects as needed What you will need: Experience within one of the following roles – Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Finance Administrator Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills Confident Excel ability (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables would be a bonus) Knowledge of Sage 200 is beneficial but not essential AAT study or experience would be advantageous What you will get: Flexible working hours 20 days holiday bank holidays Free onsite parking Staff discount on product If you would like to find out more about this role, please apply with your CV or LinkedIn PDF.
