We are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the S4 area of Sheffield on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about supporting children's learning and is confident leading whole-class teaching in the absence of a teacher.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will:
* Cover classes during teacher absence across primary age groups
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure continuity of learning
* Support pupils' academic and social development
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Work closely with teaching staff to support pupil progress
* Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups where required
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* A relevant Level 4 qualification (essential)
* Proven experience working with primary-aged children
* Confidence in leading whole-class learning
* Strong behaviour management skills
* A flexible, professional and proactive approach
