NRL are currently looking for a Supervisor for a site in Southampton.
Must have:
* Experience in project delivery, including estimating, quoting, and managing multidisciplinary Low Voltage projects.
* Knowledge of how the SSEN Low Voltage Network operates.
* Certified NRSWA Supervisor.
* Understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) and industry best practices.
* SMSTS qualification.
* Strong communication, time management, and people management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects.
* Organisational skills for planning and executing works.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Experience with Office 365 applications.
* Full driving licence.
As a Supervisor, you will lead a team of up to 10 Operatives, including subcontractors, ensuring all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your team may include Traffic Management Operatives, LV Live Jointers, and Civils Operatives, all working on Low Voltage projects.
Your role will involve direct customer interaction, project scoping, quoting, and project delivery. The project includes a full turnkey solution for design and build, covering planning, excavations, jointing, reinstatement, and assisting with LV capital replacements, including linkbox installations.
Typical daily activities include:
* Championing health and safety compliance, developing SHE plans, and reporting incidents.
* Delivering work according to project specifications and schedules.
* Acting as the main contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying opportunities.
* Managing materials, logistics, and labour resources for efficient delivery.
* Representing the company on-site, attending meetings, and briefing teams.
* Maintaining accurate project documentation, managing variations, and supporting project handovers.
* Conducting quality checks, supervising operatives and contractors, and providing on-the-job training.
Duration: Initially 3 months – potential for longer-term.
Working hours: 45 hours/week with overtime available.
