An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our People Resources HR Business Partner team. With over 13, employees, you will need to have the hunger, determination and passion to succeed in a challenging but thriving environment.
As a key member of our team, you will provide a comprehensive HR support service to the senior staff within the HR Business Partnership Team. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of all HR information requests and enquiries submitted to the business partnership team mailbox and where appropriate assist with responses and the preparation of correspondence and documentation. Your role will involve developing and maintaining HR management information systems and procedures, liaising with the Employee Service Centre regarding pay and conditions queries and with establishments and/or managers where appropriate in relation to HR enquiries and to provide advice and guidance on HR processes and procedures.
You will assist in developing and updating service HR procedures and guidance to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and legislative changes and in the preparation and collation of HR statistical data for the provision of management reports and statutory returns.
Educated to SVQ3/HNC in administration, or equivalent, with moderate relevant experience gained within a clerical/administrative role is essential. You will have excellent telephone and written communication skills and the ability to provide information clearly and concisely. With good organisational skills you will have the ability to prioritise and meet agreed deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail and concern for accuracy. You will be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work as part of a team and use initiative appropriate. You will be numerate and IT literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office. You will be able to relate to all members of staff and the public and maintain a high degree of confidentiality pertaining to all aspects of work.
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and processes, and operational HR systems is desirable as is the Certificate in Personnel Practice qualification.
You may be required to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire Council.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within People Resources who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work in Motherwell.
